KEXP 90.3 FM - iPhone FAQ

iPhone FAQ

You can now stream KEXP to the iPhone with the official KEXP iPhone app. Developed in concert with KEXP by listener Zachary Peterson, the first version of the app allows you listen to either our 128k or 32k live stream, keep track of entries you’ve heard from the playlist, favorite songs you’ve heard, as well as buy songs you like directly from iTunes.

  1. Is this app free? Or: How can I help keep KEXP free?
The app is free. KEXP is listener supported, so you can go here to donate and keep KEXP listener powered
  2. How do I mark a song as a "Favorites"?
When you're listening to a song, simply press the favorites icon button to mark the track as a favorite. On the playlist, tap the song you wish to favorite, then press the favorites button.
  3. How do I delete songs from Favorites?
Click Edit, then tap the minus key to reveal the delete button. Or swipe your finger sideways to reveal the delete button.
  4. Where is the real time playlist?
Currently the only songs shown on the iPhone app playlist are those you've actually listened to. Future versions will include a playlist browser.
  5. Where is the streaming archive?
Currently the streaming archive is not offered in an iPhone-capable stream. However, look for future versions of the app for this and other features.
  6. Is it really true in space no one can hear you scream?
Space is pretty much a vacuum, so no. If you made any sound at all, and anyone was there with you, no one would be able to hear it. Thank you, Ridley Scott.
  7. How does this look?
It looks pretty good. Well, parts of it do.
