KEXP is pleased to announce the 5th Annual KEXP BBQ on Saturday, August 18th on the lawn behind South Lake Union Discovery Center at 101 Westlake Avenue North in Seattle (get directions).
This year's lineup features: local, premier 206 hip hop duo BLUE SCHOLARS; emotional folk and electronic influenced pop collective CLOUD CULT, whose dynamic sound and live shows are reminiscent of Arcade Fire and The Polyphonic Spree; PELA, one of the best bands to hit the KEXP airwaves in a long time with their passionate, anthemic alt-rock sound that evokes comparisons to early U2, The Pixies and the Replacements; THE CAVE SINGERS, featuring ex-members of Pretty Girls Make Graves and Hint Hint, who offer heartbreakingly beautiful indie folk; THE BLAKES, deservedly one of the most-hyped and exciting bands in Seattle right now.
