The season concludes with a world music party at the Seattle International Children’s Festival. The performances features Afro-Columbian singer Petron Martínez performing the traditional style known as Bullerengue­rhythmic songs originally sung only by pregnant women. Also on the bill is Reem Kelani, one of the foremost scholars and performers of Palestinian music. Reem and her band (some of the finest London-based traditional and jazz players) feature traditional songs and her own composition. Presented with the Seattle International Children’s Festival and sponsored by KEXP 90.3FM and ParentMap. This concert is appropriate for children 7 and older.
